Jamie Kwon
Founder and Executive Program Director
Cornerstone Medical Services Volunteer
Hello, my name is Jamie and I am the founder of NeuroYouth! Mental health and brain well-being is one of the greatest challenges for today's youth. Realizing this, I wanted to study the impacts of social media on mental and brain health. However, as a first-generation student, I noticed the challenges of conducting research without established connections or mentors. Motivated by this insight, I founded NeuroYouth, a free, pioneering program amplifying underrepresented voices in neuroscience and mental health research. I hope NeuroYouth can be a place where young minds find the power and resources to make a beautiful impact for the youth around them.

Catherine Enriquez
Managing Director and D.E.I. Lead
Hello! My name is Catherine, and I am one of the directors involved in the production and execution of NeuroYouth. More specifically, aiding in the student and mentor recruitment process. I am passionate about diversity and equity reparations. Also, I am a science enthusiast. NeuroYouth is where my love for social justice and science meets. I believe both can work jointly to bridge fissures created by inequities in history.

Abhidi Brahnmath
2024 Director of Outreach; 2025 Mentor
Hi! My name is Abhidi Brahnmath, I am the Director of Outreach. Considering the lack of accessibility to research for minority populations, my role lies in driving this aspect of NeuroYouth's mission through improving the reach NeuroYouth has as a program. I fostered a passion for equity in research and healthcare by founding a healthcare consulting organization of my own, and I have seen the manifestations of the lack of BIPOC inclusion in research through working in Alzheimer's and childhood adversity research. NeuroYouth fuses these interests of mine and I'm glad to be a part of it!

2025 Mentor
Hi, I'm Liba and I'm so excited to be returning as a mentor to NeuroYouth! I'm a rising junior at Interlake Highschool. Last year I did a project on the connection between food insecurity and mental health, and I'm passionate about helping my community. I hope to help others find that same passion for helping their community and love for research. I'm super excited to meet everyone this time! I enjoy dancing and crocheting in my free time!

Regina De Villasante '24
2025 Mentor
Hi my name Regina and I am an incoming freshman at Brown University concentrating in Neuroscience and Behavioral Decision Sciences. I am so excited to come back to NeuroYouth as a mentor this year after being a 2024 NeuroYouth scholar! I cannot wait to help others discover what they are most passionate because there are so many different aspects to explore when it comes to neuroscience. Last year I conducted a study into the connection between music and emotion and I am grateful to NeuroYouth for giving me an opportunity to get a jumpstart on research that I was passionate about!
